Keypad Operations

Standard Keypad Operations
(from Pocket WorkSheet Help)

Format

Toggles the current entry format, from currency ($)  to floating-point (#) or other available selections: In a date calculation, the  Format button allows selection of Days, Weeks, Months, or Years. See Format Numbers for details.

+-

TOGGLE SIGN toggles the sign of the current number entry

<-

Backspace erases the last digit in the Number Entry  area.

CE

Clears the current entry.

C

CLEAR creates a "Clear" entry, setting the current total to 0 and places a C entry in the worksheet. If using an external keyboard, type CTRL ENTER to create a CLEAR entry.

+ - X /

Perform standard arithmetic operations.

=

EQUAL creates a worksheet row with the current total.

%

Takes a percent of the current total or  acts with another Standard Operator on the current total. For example, + 50 % adds 50% of the current total to the current total for a mark-up. See Advanced Operations.

Advanced Keypad Operations (from Pocket WorkSheet Help)

Installation Notes

Setup on your PDA may prompt you to over-write system files which may already exist in the \Windows directory:

    bkdings.ttf
    pvbload.exe
    pvbdecl.dll
    pvbform2.dll
    pvbhost2.dll
    vbscript.dll

Our files should be the most current and if you want to update your files with newer files, reply 'Yes' to each file. If your files show a newer date than the ones we are installing, you can reply 'No'.

Demo to Purchased Version

If you are installing the purchased version over the demo version, you must reply 'Yes' when prompted to replace file PocketWorkSheet.vb

Install the purchased product in the same directory you installed the demo.

Other Applications

If you have a problem running Pocket WorkSheet after un-installing another (unrelated) application, you may need to re-install Pocket WorkSheet.  Removal of other applications using the same system files may remove or unregister system files required by Pocket WorkSheet.  At startup, if a problem is detected, the application will attempt to re-register runtime files but if the files have been removed, you may have to re-install the application. Likewise, removing the demo version may impact other programs using runtime files.

Removing the Demo Version

Other applications which use the same runtime files may be disabled after removing the demo version through the PDA's Remove Programs utility. You can remove the Pocket WorkSheet files manually to avoid this potential problem:

    Manual Removal::

    Delete the Application Directory:
\Program Files\Pocket WorkSheet\   (the directory where you installed it)

    Delete Application Files:
    \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Pocket WorkSheet (shortcut file)
    \Windows\Help\PocketWorkSheet (shortcut file)
    \Windows\pmcporpsw.htm (help file)
    \Windows\pmcporpsw2.htm (help file)
    \My Documents\Sample*.wrx (sample WorkSheets)

If you are not prepared to re-installed other applications that might be affected, just leave PocketWorkSheet installed until you can do so.

Samples

The sample worksheets are moved to your \My Documents directory. If your PDA does not have a "My Documents" directory, the samples will be left in the directory in which the application is installed, such as "\Program Files\Pocket WorkSheet"
